![]() ‘Processing’ refers to any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction. ‘Controller’ refers to the customers of the Synthesia Services. ‘Processor’ refers to Synthesia Limited, a company registered under the laws of England and Wales. ‘Data Protection Laws’ refers to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 Of The European Parliament And Of The Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, ‘ GDPR’) and to the applicable UK national data protection law. ‘ Agreement’ refers to the main agreement concluded between the parties which incorporates this DPA by a way of reference. ‘ DPA’ refers to this Data Processing Agreement. 2.ĝefinitionsĢ.1 The following definitions explain some of the terminology and abbreviations used throughout this Data Processing Agreement: Under the Data Protection Laws, Synthesia Limited, a company registered under the laws of England and Wales ( Synthesia) has a position of a ‘Processor’ and Synthesia’s customers have a position of a ‘Controller’ regarding the personal data collected using Synthesia services ( Services). Preambleġ.1 This Data Processing Agreement represents an addendum and an integral part of the services agreement.
